Alexander Schwertner

How long have you been part of the ifok team and where have you been encountered before?

I started my professional career in a communications agency. Then I was the press spokesperson for the Hamburg Port Authority for several years. Since 2013, I have built up the Hamburg agency RaikeSchwertner as managing partner. In April 2022, we became part of ifok and since then I have been heading the Communications & Campaigns department from the Hamburg office together with Yvette Richter.

What convinces you every day anew that you are right for your job?

That I deal with the important socio-political issues of our time on a daily basis, both on a small and a large scale.

What drives you in your working life?

My balanced nature. It’s something between calming composure and stoicism.
For me, everyday work thrives on the interaction between the different characters and personalities of our colleagues, clients and partners. It is always exciting to see how ideas emerge from this cooperation, mature and finally become reality. 

How do you put sustainability into practice in everyday life?

I am the man with the suits in the office. I come by bike and change before client meetings.
