“I am convinced that really good solutions only come about through dialogue”

Jochen von Maltzahn

What made you decide to work at ifok?

My work is a balancing act between innovation, usability, security and reliability. I really enjoy tackling this task at ifok. Every day brings new challenges that we tackle together in a great team and as equals.

How long have you been part of the ifok team and where were you before?

Before I came to ifok, I studied Pedagogy. During that time, I dealt intensively with hypermedia learning and its implementation in online learning environments. I joined ifok in 2002 and since then I have built up the company’s IT and rebuilt it again and again.

What sets you apart at the office?

I am a team player. The IT world in which we operate is complex and fast-moving. We are well advised to work together closely. This way, all team members can contribute their experience and skills to the solution. I am convinced that really good solutions only come about through dialogue, which is why I try to live this dialogue in the team every day.

What do you particularly like doing in your free time?

I started learning bass a few years ago. Since then, I have formed a band with a few friends and we meet regularly to make music together. We try out different styles of music, which is a lot of fun.
